Analytics, marked affiliate links and web fonts — and nothing else
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are read. It records the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you are using.
It does not record your name, your address or anything you type, and the data is kept for fourteen months.
If you would rather not be counted, any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics will stop it.
Affiliate links
Some links on the planning pages (getting here, getting around, booking ahead and day trips) and on a few planning articles in the journal are affiliate links. If you book something through one of them, this site may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Those links are marked on the page, above the first link, and no sight page carries one. Nothing is recommended because it pays.
Following such a link takes you to the partner's own site, which sets its own cookies and has its own privacy policy.
Fonts and hosting
The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google when a page loads.
The site itself is a set of static files served through Cloudflare. There are no accounts, no logins and no comment forms, so there is nothing for you to sign up to and nothing to delete.
Changes
If this site starts doing anything else with data, this page will say so before it happens.
